Togatuki makes it three in a row after another outstanding season

Sarah Togatuki has been named the NRLW Player of the Year for a third successive season, in another incredible achievement for the Jillaroos and NSW Origin star.

After a typically outstanding season, the 27-year-old has produced some of her best career numbers.

‘Sala’ ran for 1,565 metres in 2025 (a career-high), while making 287 tackles at a 98% efficiency.

Togatuki also made 599 post-contact metres this season, as well as posting 28 tackle breaks.

Togatuki crossed the line once this season – against Parramatta in Round 10 – in what was one of the best of the season, as she skipped across the field like an outside back before leaping to the corner for an outstanding try.

Togatuki was also a standout in NSW’s 2-1 Women’s State of Origin series win over Queensland, producing three damaging performances for her state from the interchange bench.

In all three games of this year’s series, she brought her trademark aggression off the bench, sparking momentum shifts with quick play-the-balls and fearless carries.

Her performances once again cemented her status as one of the most respected and feared forwards in the women’s game.

Togatuki’s 142 running metres per game was third highest amongst front-rowers across the entire NRLW competition, and as a result she has once again been chosen to represent the Jillaroos at the upcoming Pacific Championships.

If one word sums up Sarah Togatuki’s 2025 season, it’s consistency. Week after week, the powerful prop forward led from the front, setting the tone physically for her teammates.

Her performances were a benchmark for the squad, combining her trademark aggression with tireless effort.

Whether she was bending the line or rallying teammates after a big defensive set, Togatuki’s influence was unmistakable.

As one of the foundation players of the Club’s NRLW program, Togatuki has been central to shaping the team’s standards since day one.

Her third consecutive Player of the Year Award only reinforces that reputation, not just as an on-field performer, but as a leader who demands excellence every time she steps onto the field.

This award – along with her representative honours – round out another remarkable year for one of rugby league’s most complete forwards.

Togatuki’s blend of experience, endurance, and competitive fire only ensures her influence within Wests Tigers NRLW program continues to grow.
