The Wests Tigers are pleased to announce Canterbury of New Zealand as the Club’s Official Performance Apparel Partner, with the premium sportswear brand to supply its NRL, NRLW and Pathways programs from 2026.
An iconic apparel brand synonymous with outfitting some of the biggest teams in domestic and international sport, Canterbury’s distinctive ‘CCC’ logo will be proudly emblazoned across all thirteen of the Wests Tigers official teams.
Canterbury – who currently partner with the British and Irish Lions, Japan Rugby Football Union, Irish Rugby Football Union and the Queensland Reds – return to the NRL for the first time since 2021, with the Wests Tigers to be the brand’s flagship rugby league partner.
Wests Tigers teams will now have access to Canterbury’s industry-leading on- and off-field range, steeped in more than 120 years of proud history and known for its quality, versatility and performance.
Wests Tigers CEO, Shane Richardson said the partnership represented another significant step forward for the Club.
“We’re really proud to welcome Canterbury to the Wests Tigers,” Richardson said.
This partnership shows just how far we have come as a Club over the last two years, having secured an apparel partner in Canterbury who have such a strong reputation for high performance sportswear globally.
Shane Richardson CEO
“They have an exceptional track record for delivering performance wear for some of the biggest brands in world sport, and that experience has allowed them to quickly understand the needs of our Club from the NRL and NRLW right through our junior Pathways.
“Canterbury are a brand we know our players, staff, Members and fans will be proud to see associated with the Wests Tigers,” Richardson concluded.
The partnership marks a reconnection of sorts between the two brands, with Canterbury of New Zealand famously producing kits for Wests Tigers foundation club, the Balmain Tigers in the early 1990s – an iconic piece of rugby league history today.
Wests Tigers Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Lang was excited about the arrival of the Official 2026 Apparel Range for the Club’s Members and fans.
“This is a fantastic partnership for the Club and one we’re looking forward to bringing to life with the team at Canterbury,” Lang said.
“Canterbury have created a range that captures the Wests Tigers rise, embodying our brand identity and vision for the Club – a powerful expression of pride that’s inspired by everything a Tiger represents.
“The range will provide Members and fans with a variety of great pieces to show their support for the Club, which we’re excited to reveal over the coming weeks,” Lang concluded.
VP CCC Brand, AJ Moriarty was equally excited to announce Canterbury of New Zealand’s partnership with the Wests Tigers.
“We’re thrilled to stand alongside the Wests Tigers, reaffirming our shared commitment to the game and the community that supports it,” Moriarty said.
“In the Wests Tigers we see a very meaningful connection around our values and in particular our brand positioning, ‘Made Tougher’. The Club’s showcase of resilience and ability to adapt to challenges over the past few seasons is a beautiful expression of that.
This partnership represents more than a jersey or a kit. Canterbury is dedicated to supporting teams that inspire, innovate, and lead with community at their heart.
