The return to pre-season training for the 2026 NRL season signified a new era for the Wests Tigers, coinciding with the announcement of the Club’s new Performance Apparel Partner, Canterbury of New Zealand (CCC).
While fans have had to wait to see the new Home and Away jerseys for 2026, they got an early look at the Club’s new training range as the boys took to the field – donning some striking new designs.
A premium sportswear brand synonymous with outfitting some of the biggest teams in domestic and international sport, CCC have unleashed one of the most distinctive training ranges in the NRL.
The training range unapologetically using the symbol of the Tiger and all it represents at its core, encapsulating its spirit – unleashed, out of the cage, and unstoppable.
It’s prominent placement on the training shirt and singlet acts as an important reminder. A Tiger doesn’t play it safe. It fights. It adapts. It survives.
From the Design Team:
The claw marks on the design connect directly to the Home and Away jerseys – symbolising how the work done on the training field carries through to game day.
At the heart of the design is the Tiger’s snarling face – focused, fearless, and ready to strike. Behind it, a cage represents the limits and doubts that test us. Every session, every rep, every collision brings us closer to the moment of release, when the Tiger breaks through and unleashes what’s been building within.
The Wests Tigers 2026 Training Range features CCC’s Vapodri technology, which allows for quick dry and moisture wicking to optimize comfort across the training tee, singlet, short and polo.
VP of CCC, AJ Moriarty:
“Innovation is at the heart of what we do, and we wanted to ensure the design was reflective of the Wests Tigers brand, with technology that would support performance on-field,” Moriarty said.
“The tops all feature eyelet mesh panelling through the back for added breathability, and the tees are also on a raglan block enabling better movement and complimenting the needs of the athlete.
“Look good, feel good, play good principles are top of mind for us from concept through to delivery.”
From the Club:
Wests Tigers Chief Commercial Officer, Peter Lang said the bold design for the training range was a reflection of the Club’s identify.
“The response from the players when they received their new kit for pre-season was overwhelmingly positive, and we saw a similar response from fans when the range became visible on our social channels,” Lang said.
“We wanted to ensure the training range had a strong connection with our Home and Away jerseys, while also reflecting the Club’s identity in a really striking way – AJ and his team have done a tremendous job in achieving that.
“The training range was identified as a platform to do something bold in terms of design and we’re all really happy with the outcome,” Lang concluded.
