The Wests Tigers have secured the services of Alex Twal for a further two seasons, with the experienced forward extending his stay at Concord until the end of the 2029 NRL season.
Twal – who was already contracted until the end of 2027 – remains a one-club player, having represented the orange, white and black on 165 occasions since his debut in 2018.
Over the course of his career, the 29-year-old has established himself as one of the Club’s most experienced and consistent performers, providing a strong foundation in the middle of the park for Head Coach, Benji Marshall.
While Twal’s extension is testament to his work rate, dependability and professionalism over the last eight years, it’s also a nod to the Lebanese international’s leadership and presence off the field – captaining the Club for the first time in 2025.
On signing his extension, Twal said he was excited to continue with the Club.
“This is a Club that means so much me and my family, it’s where I made my debut and has given me the opportunity to play footy at the highest level,” Twal said.
“I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead for this group, you can see the way things are coming together, and I’m just focused on playing my role within that to help bring the Club success.
“I’m grateful to Benji, Shaun and the Club for the faith they’ve shown in me and the opportunity to remain here at the Tigers.”
NRL Head Coach, Benji Marshall said he was pleased to have Twal on board until 2029.
“This extension is a testament to the loyalty, hard work and dedication Alex has given our Club,” Marshall said
He deserves the opportunity to be a one-club player, which is rare to find in this day and age.
