Robbie Taylor appointed NSW Women’s Premiership Coach

The Wests Tigers are pleased to confirm that Robbie Taylor will join the Club as NSW Women’s Premiership Head Coach.

Taylor arrives at Concord from the Newcastle Knights, having secured the NSW Women’s Minor Premiership in 2025 and reaching the Grand Final.

It’s a return to the orange, white and black for Taylor, who served as an Assistant Coach for the Wests Tigers NSW Women’s Premiership side in 2019, in addition to a Head Coach role within the Club’s Roar Academy.

Taylor – a highly credentialled female pathways coach – has held roles at the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, Penrith Panthers and Aotearoa Maori Rugby League (U18s).

Taylor led the Penrith Panthers to a Premiership in the inaugural Tarsha Gale Cup in 2017, while also securing top honours for Aotearoa Maori in 2022.

Taylor will work closely with Wests Tigers Female Pathways Coordinator, David Fauonuku on the progression of young talent through the Club’s pathway, as well as aligning with NRLW Head Coach, Craig Sandercock to ensure players are ready to progress to the top grade when called upon.

Head of Women’s Football, Charmain Steventon welcomed Taylor’s appointment.

“We’re really pleased to have Robbie back with us at the Tigers,” Steventon said.

He’s a person of great character who reflects the values of our Club, and we feel he’s the perfect candidate to take on what’s a critical role in our Pathway.

“Robbie’s been successful at all levels of the female development pathway and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring to our NSW Women’s Premiership program.

“His relationship with Craig [Sandercock] and David [Fauonuku] will be integral to ensuring alignment and consistency for our athletes right across our Pathway – with that work already well and truly underway.”

The 2026 NSW Women’s Premiership season will commence in June.
