After their first win of the season against the Balmain Tigers on the weekend, Nathan Lakeman’s side will be aiming to continue their winning ways against the Illawarra South Coast Steelers.
James Lanyon collected an early double on the wing, with a solid kicking performance earning him 16 points on UNE SG Ball Cup debut.
Tries from Captain Peter Taai, Jhevon Lele, Boston Lauvao, Pheonix Godinet and Siotame Havea Jr gave the Magpies a 36-14 victory.
It’s a largely unchanged lineup from the side that ran out winners in Round 4, with Semisi Peleketi starting on the wing in place of Cortez Kirkpatrick.
Kicking off at 3.00pm at the Collegians Sporting Complex in Wollongong, the Magpies will be looking to build on the strong attacking effort from last weekend.
