The Western Suburbs Magpies will kick off their 2026 Knock-On Effect NSW Cup campaign this Saturday when they host the North Sydney Bears at Lidcombe Oval.
With plenty of young stars and new recruits at the ready for Head Coach, Tyrone McCarthy, the Magpies are looking to start the season off on the right foot.
The Magpies welcome some valuable NRL experience into the weekend’s lineup with new recruits, Patrick Herbert and Bunty Afoa set to take the field in what will be their first regular season appearance for the Club.
Several NRL prospects for the first grade squad will join them at Lidcombe Oval with Jack Attard, Javon Andrews, and Charlie Murray all looking to impress and show NRL Head Coach, Benji Marshall, that they are ready if called upon.
