The Western Suburbs Magpies will host the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Lidcombe Oval this Saturday in Round 6 of the UNE Harold Matthews Cup.
The Magpies will be looking to reclaim their spot in the winners’ circle after last week’s defeat to the Illawarra Steelers.
It was an incredible effort from the Magpies despite the result, after finding themselves in an uphill battle – trailing 20-0 and down to 12 men midway through the first half.
Refusing to let the contest slip away, the Magpies crossed for four consecutive tries to establish a two-point lead, but a strong Steelers finish saw them finish 30-22 winners.
Head Coach, Pat Richards has made a few changes to his line up for Round 6, with Sebastian Taylor on the wing and prop, Isaiah Fretton promoted into the starting line up.
