The Western Suburbs Magpies will host the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Kirkham Oval this Saturday for Round 7 of the UNE Harold Matthews Cup.
The Magpies will be on the hunt for their second win of the campaign following last week’s loss at the hands of the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
A slow start to the contest saw the Magpies fall 14-0 behind at the break, but a strong response after half time pulled the game back to 14-12 with plenty of time on the clock. Unfortunately, Western Suburbs couldn’tquite carry the momentum and fell 32-18.
Fans can be on the lookout for a range of talent through the roster, including electric outside back, Joshua Ratu who has crossed for five tries in his last three outings.
Pat Richards has announced Monson Hopoate, Ashton Dewanto and Etuate Neiufi as additions to his starting line-up.
