The Western Suburbs Magpies will be on the road this weekend as they take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Polytec Stadium for Round 3 of the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup season.
With a bye in Round 1 and a loss to the North Sydney Bears to open their campaign, the Magpies will be eager to notch their first win of the season in Gosford.
Last weekend saw the Magpies start with plenty of promise as they took an early lead, but the Bears proved too strong in the end with a 26-16 scoreline in their favour.
With plenty of prolific talent lining up – including last week’s try scorers in Charlie Murray, Tino Tavana, and Jack Attard – Western Suburbs will be set for a big match this weekend.
Notable changes to the line-up include the addition of Mavrik Geyer starting at lock and Jared Haywood coming into the interchange from the Jersey Flegg Cup.
