Balmain Tigers – SG Ball Cup: Round 8

The Balmain Tigers are set to take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday in Round 8 of the UNE SG Ball Cup.

The Tigers will be eager and on the hunt for their first win since the opening round of the competition.

Despite last week’s defeat at the hands of the Sea Eagles, Balmain showed plenty of grit as they fell 12-0 behind before clawing back 10 points to stay in the fight before eventually losing the arm-wrestle at Brookvale.

The squad will be looking to bounce back, none more so than lock-forward and Captain, Blake Van Drie who crossed for two tries in last round’s contest.

Roy Asotasi has made a few changes to his starting line-up, bringing in Izaac Mascarenas at fullback, with Michael Boustany at centre. In the forward pack, William Stone and Zach Khatter are stepping into the second row.
