Salma Nour returns for 2026

The Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Salma Nour will return to the Club’s NRLW squad for the 2026 season.

Nour – Wests Tiger #21 – made 17 appearances for the Tigers over her previous three seasons at Concord, scoring five tries.

The Liverpool Catholic Club junior started her representative football journey with the Wests Tigers in the Lisa Fiaola Cup in 2019. Following a stint in the St George Illawarra Dragons system, Nour returned to the Tigers in 2023.

The 23-year-old hooker was off contract for 2026 and joined the squad on a train-and-trial contract during the pre-season, ultimately earning a place in Craig Sandercock’s Top 24.

Nour returns as a replacement player for Pihuka Berryman-Duff, who will miss the 2026 season following the announcement of her pregnancy. Berryman-Duff joins Jade Fonua on the sidelines following confirmation she is also expecting.

Nour said she is excited to be back at the Club for another season.

“It’s exciting to be back with the Tigers, I’m really grateful for the opportunity the Club has given me. There’s a good vibe around the group and I’ve really enjoyed being part of it,” Nour said.

“I’ve had great conversations with Sandy since coming back, and I’m all in on what he wants from me in my role and how I can contribute to the group.

“It’s so nice to be back with the girls and preparing for the season ahead.”

NRLW Head Coach, Craig Sandercock welcomed Nour’s return to his squad.

“When there was an opening in our squad, I reached out to Salma about the opportunity and was really impressed by her attitude and commitment to being part of what we’re building here,” Sandercock said.

“We had a good chat about what she can bring to our squad this season, and since coming in on a train-and-trial contract, she’s really excelled.

“We’re happy to have her as a part of our options in the middle this year.”

The Wests Tigers NRLW side will be back in action from Sunday, 5 July as they take on the Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium.
