Hard working Wests Tigers forward Alex Twal is unfazed about how much game time he may get in his return from a knee injury this weekend.
Sidelined for a month, Twal has been given the green light for Saturday’s match against St George-Illawarra at Jubilee Oval, Kogarah, in Round 18 of the Telstra Premiership, in a vital boost for Head Coach, Benji Marshall.
Prior to his Round 13 injury against the Bulldogs, Twal punched out 60-70 minutes in his 10 appearances at lock averaging 131 run metres on top of his 24 tackle breaks.
“I'm pretty confident in the way that I train and prepare myself that whatever role Benji needs me to play this week, I’m sure I will do my job for the team,’’ Twal said.
Twal added the players were determined to bounce back from last Sunday's narrow loss away to the Newcastle Knights.
“We put ourselves into a position to win the game. I thought for a long period of that game, we were the better team out there,’’ Twal said.
Every game now is important to us, but none more important than this week at Kogarah.

With nine matches and a bye remaining, Wests Tigers sit four points outside the eight in 11th position heading into the clash with the bottom placed Dragons.
“'I’ve been in this club for a long time; I just want to play finals,’’ Twal said.
“We've got a good opportunity in front of us. We've shown throughout various times of the year that we can be one of the prominent teams in the competition.”
Twal’s return follows on from the successful comeback last weekend of halfback Adam Doueihi from a shoulder injury.
