The Western Suburbs Magpies will host the New Zealand Warriors at Lidcombe Oval this Saturday, kicking off at 1.30pm for Round 19 of the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.
The squad will have plenty of wind in their sails as they aim to extend their winning streak to four after last week’s convincing victory over the Dragons in Croom.
They drew first blood against the Dragons through Fiohiva Fainga’a and took a narrow 12-8 lead into half-time. Tyrone McCarthy's side put their foot down in the second half, crossing for five tries and conceding zero, ending with a triumphant 42-8 victory.
Jock Madden comes in to steer the ship at halfback, lining up alongside Javon Andrews at five-eighth, who recorded a try and an assist last round.
The forward pack sees a single change as Jared Haywood starts at hooker, whilst Tristan Hope, Mitchell Taotua, Luke Jack, and Kit Laulilii make up the interchange bench.
