Tigers suffer heavy loss to Roosters in NRLW

Wests Tigers suffered a 48-10 loss to heavyweights Sydney Roosters in Round 4 of the Telstra Women's Premiership at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday night.

The Roosters ran in four first half tries, three on the Tigers' right side, to take a 22-0 lead at the break before going on with the job in the second half.

It was the first home game of 2026 for the Wests Tigers after three tough weeks on the road in a match that saw prop Sarah Togatuki and lock Holli Wheeler each play their 50th NRLW game.

The loss leaves Wests Tigers with two wins from four matches, with their last two defeats at the hands of last year's grand finalists, Brisbane Broncos and the Roosters. Both teams remain undefeated.

Wests Tigers now play Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the NRLW Magic Round at Geohex Park, Wagga Wagga, on Saturday, 1 August, at 11.35am.
