The Western Suburbs Magpies are back at Lidcombe Oval this week, playing host to the Parramatta Eels for Round 22 of the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup season.
Kicking off at 1.00pm on Sunday, they’ll be aiming to bounce back into the winner’s circle after last week’s defeat to the Canberra Raiders.
The Magpies struck first against the Raiders with a try to Jeral Skelton in the 15th minute, but they couldn’t quite keep the heat on for the remainder of the contest, falling 32-4.
This week’s lineup sees a number of changes, with Jack Attard donning the #1 jersey in place of Heath Mason, who has been called into the NRL squad.
Fiohiva Fainga’a and Tino Tavana come in on the wings, with Brenden Naicori replacing Starford To’a at centre.
Max Liles remains in the halves, pairing up this week with Javon Andrews after his NRL debut last round.
Bunty Afoa partners Vaka Aho in the front row, with Josese Lanyon returning at hooker.
Lachlan Broederlow and Ethan Roberts make up the second row, with Mavrik Geyer suiting up at lock.
