Sandercock confirms Monschau’s future in BTR Podcast

He's the man who drove the Wests Tigers NRLW program to an historic finals appearance in 2026, and the good news is, the best is still to come, including Shaniece Monschau remaining with the Club for 2027.

In a wide-ranging interview, Head Coach Craig Sandercock opens up on several topics in the latest episode of the 'Behind The Roar' Podcast.

Sandercock talks about a range of topics including: 

- the Club taking up the option of versatile forward Shaniece Monschau for 2027

- lock Holli Wheeler signing on for 2027

- talented utility Faythe Manera locked in until 2028

- the high standards set by Head of High Performance Richmond Saliba to help take the players to the next level

“Since the day I got here, the support from everyone has been unbelievable. It blows me away, to tell you the truth,” Sandercock says.

"Rich is a hard taskmaster. The girls knew they had to train hard because if they weren’t meeting the targets they simply weren’t going to play.”

Working to instill such values into the playing group, Sandercock explains that the pre-season camp stirred up a determination for hard work and success.

“I walked away thinking, ‘if they play as hard as what they’ve trained here… I’m confident we’ll be competitive,'” he revealed.
