Impressive young Wests Tigers forward Shaniece Monschau is ready to take her game to another level following a successful 2026 season.
The 24-year-old played every game for the Wests Tigers in her first season at Concord, resulting in the club taking up its option to keep Monschau for 2027.
Wests Tigers NRLW Head Coach Craig Sandercock said Monschau could not have been more impressive.
“Shaniece has been outstanding this year. Her attitude is second to none, her desire and her willingness to compete hard has really impressed me,’’ Sandercock said.
“The way she trained, she just demanded to be selected every week.”
Monschau set the standard early, making 137 run metres and two offloads in a 55-minute effort in her in club debut against Parramatta Eels in Round 1.
During the season, Monschau showcased her impressive versatility and team-first mentality by playing significant minutes across the pack at prop, second-row, and lock.
A New Zealand international, Monschau’s consistent performances and work rate proved invaluable in the forward pack.
“This season we proved that we’ve got what it takes as a group,” Monschau said.
“I already can’t wait for next season with ‘Sandy’ and the girls.
“It’s been a great year, and I know we’re only going to keep improving.
“Being with such a good group of players, I’m just eager to keep improving and play my best footy here at the Tigers.”
