History makes us powerful

Two proud foundation clubs forge a greater force than one that stands alone. Established in 2000 as a joint-venture between Balmain and Western Suburbs, Wests Tigers have over 235 years of combined history within the Australian sporting landscape — a unique strength that no other club can lay claim to.

The fastest growing region

Wests Tigers represent Western Sydney, the fastest growing region in Australia population growth expected to reach 2.9 million by 2036. Western Sydney is Australia's third largest economic region, with Wests Tigers the most supported team in the region (up 3.3% YOY). Wests Tigers also have one of the largest geographical footprints in the NRL with fans spread all across the country and the second highest all-time away crowd average.

Our legacy is still building

Wests Tigers are wholeheartedly committed to enriching the lives of our community and harnessing the game's popularity to make a lasting difference in people's lives. In 2022, Wests Tigers will transition into our new $75 million community Centre of Excellence — the first of its kind along the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Strong National TV exposure

NRL tops gross viewership across all major sporting codes in Australia. 84 million viewers tuned in to Nine and Fox League across the 2021 season, with Wests Tigers constantly ranking as one of the top-rated clubs on TV. In 2021, 11.5 million rugby league fans tuned into Wests Tigers games (up 17% YOY) which was the fourth-highest total across all 16 NRL clubs.

Enriching our community

Wests Tigers contribute and sustain the positive influence of sport — combining the essence and empowerment of rugby league to ensure support is provided to athletes, young people and the community that we represent. At Wests Tigers, we pride ourselves on giving back to our community with a core focus on the areas of youth empowerment, grass roots development, indigenous engagement, inclusion and diversity.

Acknowledgement of Country

Wests Tigers respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
