Wests Tigers forward Bodene Thompson will sit out this weekend after being found guilty of a striking charge.

Thompson was charged with a grade 2 penalty following the round one NSW Cup loss to Cronulla and faced two weeks. He contested the charge last night with the Club unsuccessful in trying to downgrade the charge to a grade 1.

He will return to the field in round 4.
