Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall knows the scale of the challenge facing his side when they take on Premiers Melbourne Storm at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday night.

Melbourne boast a hoard of State of Origin stars including the "Big 3", Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater.

"They're three of the best players in the world," said Marshall. "It makes our job tougher, but in saying that we get Robbie (Farah) and (Aaron) Woods back.

"That adds to our experience and building on what we did on the weekend, hopefully we can get better.

"We've put it together at times but we need to be more consistent."

Wests Tigers have won three games from four attempts and the match is shaping as a huge one for the Club with superstars on both sides sure to light up Leichhardt Oval.

Questioned on whether the run of form for Wests Tigers had coincided with the team beginning to understand the new coaching staff's tactics, Marshall put the onus on the playing group.

"They've always made sense, we just haven't executed it," said Marshall.

"At the end of the day, that's what's let us down is our execution. It's not through lack of effort or lack of trying."
