Mick Potter has exclusively revealed to Wests Tigers Members one NRL debutant to face Parramatta this Friday night.

NSW Cup hooker Joel Luani will make the step up into the top grade following Robbie Farah being ruled out with a hand injury.

Potter said he while he is disappointed to lose Farah, he has been impressed with Luanis form in 2013.

Joel has done enough to be the number one contender for the hooking role seeing as Robbie is out, Potter said.

He has been playing a lot of minutes in NSW Cup and doing a good job for the team.

He deserves a chance with Masada Iosefa out, he is the only hooker I think that can really tip over the big forwards as well as get out of dummy-half with good speed.

Joel will be a good asset for us this week.

Luani was approved by the NRL to make his debut with the club having salary cap restraints.

Marika Koroibete will also make a return to the top grade, his first NRL match since dislocating his elbow in Round 13.

Marika is lighting quick and has good anticipation, Potter said.

Im sure he is looking forward to playing again after being 18th man last week.

Stay tuned for the full team announcement later this afternoon on weststigers.com.au
