Jacob Liddle has been voted by his teammates as Wests Tigers’ NYC Holden Cup Player’s Player of the Year, while Junior Tatola has taken out Wests Tigers’ NYC Coaches Player of the Year Award at the Club’s annual Grand Final Luncheon.

Both in their first year of NYC, Tatola and Liddle featured heavily in Wests Tigers’ strong season that saw them finish in the Semi Finals for the second year in a row.

The pair are eligible to play for the Club’s NYC Holden Cup side again in 2016.

Coming through the Balmain junior development system, the 18-year-old Tatola quickly established a starting spot in the front row this year — going on to play 23 games. Averaging 116.0 metres, 10.7 hit-ups and 21.3 tackles per game, Tatola also crossed for six tries in 2015

Rated as one of the top young hookers in Australia following his selection in the 2014 Australian Schoolboys side, Liddle showed why he’s considered one of the Club’s best young talents with an outstanding first season in the National Youth Competition. The wiry hooker crossed for eight tries in 24 games, while averaging a team-high 31.5 tackles per game.

The NYC Player's Player of the Year Award is in memoriam of the late Mosese Fotuaika.

Wests Tigers congratulate Junior and Jacob on their respective NYC awards in 2015.
