Get to know one of Wests Tigers' new recruits for 2016 — Billy McConnachie!

Along with fellow forward Rod Griffin, Billy joins Wests Tigers from the Ipswich Jets, where he was instrumental in the Jets' National Championship victory over Newcastle.

Training full-time for the first time in his career, the 25-year-old said he was excited to get stuck into pre-season as he continues his push for his first-grade debut in 2016.

"I thought it would be a bit different here," he said, "but in a way, it feels like I haven't left Ipswich. Everyone's made me feel really welcome, which is great.

"I just want to be up there with the leaders of the Club in pre-season.

"My focus is just on training hard and hope that I can get a crack at first-grade this year."

See what Billy McConnachie had to say about his move to Wests Tigers in the video above.
