Wests Tigers lock forward Elijah Taylor has given the green light for his return from injury this weekend as he leads the side out for the first time in 2018.

Having not featured for Ivan Cleary's side since sustaining a hamstring injury in the Round 2 win over Melbourne, there was doubt in the New Zealand international making his comeback this Saturday.

However, those doubts were quickly paved over with the good news from Taylor.

"100%. Definitely ready to go," Taylor enthused after training today.

"With hamstrings you have to be patient.

"You don't want to rush it and do it again and then you're out for another four weeks.

"Credit to our physiotherapist Peter Moussa who has looked after me really well and I'm ready to play.

"It's been frustrating [to not be out there with the team]," he added.

"It's just great to be back playing football again. The boys have been playing really well and there's so much competition for positions at this club, and I think that's the reason why we're going so well."
