NSWRL Results: Round 9

Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale and both Balmain sides have secured their spot in their respective finals after a thrilling final week action in the regular season of the NSWRL competitions.

The Harold Matthews, SG Ball and Tarsha Gale finals series all begin next week.

Wests Tigers' big win on Friday night over the Panthers secured the Tarsha Gale a top four finish with dominant wins for the Illawarra Steelers and Newcastle Knights seeing the girls end the year in third. Parramatta's defeat, coupled with a big win from the St. George Dragons, saw the Eels drop out of the top four on the final round of the year with Wests Tigers to face the Knights in Week One of the finals.

There was even more drama at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday as Balmain secured a win over the Central Coast Roosters to climb to ninth, before the Knights' big win over Parramatta saw the Eels slip out of eight and the Tigers in to the finals.

They'll face Illawarra in an Elimination Final next week while the Tigers' SG Ball side will play Canterbury-Bankstown in an Elimination Final after finishing in sixth.
