Vale Brian Tranter

Wests Tigers would like to extend their condolences to the family of Brian Tranter following his recent passing.

Tranter played for Balmain in the late 1950's in the NSWRL Competition, becoming the 486th player to represent the black and gold.

Making his debut early in his 20's, Tranter was known as one of the fastest young wingers in the country before having his career cut short due to injury.

Prior to playing Rugby League, Tranter represented Central Western Rugby Union against Fiji in 1954 and against the All Blacks in 1957.

He also played one game for Country Firsts against City.

The thoughts of all at Wests Tigers are with Brian's family at this time.
