Strategic Plan: Roaring Ahead

Wests Tigers is excited to present a new strategic plan which outlines how the club will position itself to achieve success on and off the field in the next few years.

Through innovation, growth, and delivery, it is our goal to establish Wests Tigers as one of the leading sporting organisations in Sydney, and a top-four club in both the NRL & NRLW.

We have gone through significant change as an organisation in recent months, and there will be more changes made as we execute this new strategic plan.

Our club’s purpose statement has been modified to reflect more accurately what we are doing.

Wests Tigers new purpose statement is to enrich the lives of our community, allowing us to be an innovative and modern sporting organisation.

We have expanded our core values as a club - teamwork, excellence, and respect – to also include family and honesty.

Key elements of Wests Tigers strategic plan include a significant increase in focus on South-West Sydney and the Macarthur region, the introduction of a new community engagement program, and a drive to make Wests Tigers the number one development club in Sydney.

The strategic plan includes clear and specific targets for membership, corporate, community and participation.

It also outlines a plan to develop a defined stadium policy which reflects the needs of our stakeholders, which improves Wests Tigers match-day experience, and one which supports the growth objectives for our club and its stakeholders.

Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson says developing this strategic plan, and making it available for Members to see, comes at a critical time for the club.

“My job is to make sure we grow this club to where we want to be as a top four club in the competition, on and off the field,” said Richardson.

To do that we need to innovate, grow, and deliver across all areas of the business.
