Origin star and international rep join NRLW squad

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the signings of Emily Bass and Pihuka Berryman-Duff to our NRLW squad ahead of the upcoming season.

The pair have both joined the club on one-year deals.

Bass is a Queensland Origin representative, having represented her state in four matches from 2022-24. She has scored three tries in four State of Origin matches.

The 26-year-old outside back debuted for the Broncos in 2021 and has played for the Titans over the past two seasons.

Bass has scored 12 tries in her 18 NRLW appearances to date.

A Samoan international, Berryman-Duff has played nine NRLW matches for Parramatta and brings versatility to the 2025 roster.

Pihuka has also previously represented the Māori All Stars touch football team.

The club’s latest recruits are both excited to have joined Wests Tigers ahead of the commencement of pre-season on May 12.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Wests Tigers and am embracing this exciting new chapter in my NRLW journey,” said Bass.

“While the move from Queensland presents a fresh and significant change, I’m incredibly motivated by the opportunity for both personal and professional growth here in Sydney.

The chance to learn from the likes of Brett Kimmorley and Greg Inglis, alongside an inspiring leader such as Kezie Apps is something I value and I can’t wait to make my mark as a Wests Tiger.

Berryman-Duff echoed her fellow recruit’s sentiments.

“I’m excited to sign with Wests Tigers for the upcoming season,” the 23-year-old said.

It’s a great opportunity to be part of an awesome community and to be surrounded by and play with such a talented group.
