Montana Clifford joined Wests Tigers during the 2024 NRLW season as an injury replacement, making her debut in Round 5 against the Brisbane Broncos.
Originally from Penrith, she began playing rugby league at 13 for St Mary’s and progressed through the Panthers’ Tarsha Gale Cup system alongside future Tigers teammates Brooke Talataina and Harmony Crichton.
Prior to joining Wests Tigers, Clifford spent a season with the Burleigh Bears in the Queensland Women’s Premiership, gaining valuable experience.
Her strong defensive performances in the second row earned her a one-year contract extension for the 2025 season.
Clifford expressed her enthusiasm about continuing with the club, stating, “I’m extremely grateful and excited to have extended my time here at Wests Tigers” .
