Indigenous Engagement

Wests Tigers is committed to reconciliation and recognising the First Nations of Australia, whilst celebrating Indigenous culture and traditions.

NRL School 2 Work Program

This is a mentoring program for Indigenous students in our catchment areas for selected year 10-12 students to help support and encourage young Indigenous Australians to stay at school, graduate and get a career or further study. This program has a success rate of 97%.

Indigenous Youth Elite Pathways Camp

Wests Tigers in partnership with KARI will bring Indigenous rugby league players from rural New South Wales to Sydney for a seven-day camp. While in Sydney young players will spend time with Wests Tigers football staff and players undertaking extensive training to get an understanding of what it takes to succeed as a professional player both on and off the field, as well as educating the youth on their culture and what it takes to be a leader.
