Wests Tigers Captain Robbie Farah says the team have no excuses not to perform in 2013 after a high quality pre-season under new Coach Mick Potter.

The New South Wales hooker praised the two-time Super League Coach of the Year.

"We've had a great pre-season under Mick. We've enjoyed it and our preparation has been second to none. We've got no excuses heading into the season,'' Farah said.

"Mick has brought in his own ideas so we'll continue to work on those things and try to relate to his style.

"So far we've jumped on board with what he wants from us and we'll continue to work on it."

Farah was pleased with Saturday night's 41-4 demolition of Parramatta at Campbelltown Stadium but wasn't prepared to get carried away with a first up trial win.

"It was a comprehensive win but it's hard to gauge where you're at in a tria. You're never too sure,'' he offered.

"We'd rather win those games than lose it and the way we won, we were happy.

"Obviously the 40-odd points were good but the four points in defence was probably more pleasing for myself."
