In the second announcement of the 2014 playing squad, Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter takes us through the halves and hookers in his 33-man squad ahead of pre-season training.

Young guns Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses have been included in the top squad for 2014, despite still being eligible for Holden Cup.

Robbie Farah and Braith Anasta have a wealth of experience between them and will play an integral role in the team playing alongside younger members of the squad.

With the addition of talented five-eighth Blake Austin from the Panthers, the depth of playmakers in the squad looks strong. Austin is a former Australian Schoolboys representative who played just 15 NRL games for Penrith after an unfortunate run of injuries.

Joel Luani will be Farahs back up, with the young hooker getting a taste of NRL towards the end of the 2013 season. Luanis transition from Under 20s through to NSW Cup this season was a successful one, earning him a two-year deal at the Club.

Tim Moltzen will return from a knee reconstruction for the 2014 season and his ability to play a range of positions will no doubt be very useful.

Mick Potter talks HALVES & HOOKERS for 2014:

Weve got Robbie Farah and Braith Anasta as the senior players and they really are our leaders around the park. Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses and Joel Luani are amongst the young players that are coming through who have 2013 under their belt and will be better players for it. We have got plenty of direction there," Potter said.

Add to that Tim Moltzen who can play numerous positions. You need that utility value and Tim can play halfback, wing, centre, five-eighth and fullback. He is athletic, knows the game well and is going to be a real good asset for us in 2014. Tim is progressing well with his knee and is back running. Although he isnt doing change of direction stuff yet, he is back with straight line running and thats a promising sign.

Stay tuned for the next announcement of back rowers/locks in the Wests Tigers 33-man playing squad for 2014.
