Parramatta Eels fullback Jarryd Hayne and North Queensland Cowboys halfback Jonathan Thurston have both claimed the 2014 Dally M Medal on Monday night, while Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks was named as the 2014 Dally M Rookie of the Year.

Thurston and Hayne become the first pair to both win the Dally M in the same year, with Thurston becoming just the second player to win the prestigous award three times.

The Cowboys captain was also named as the Five-Eighth of the Year and voted by rugby league fans as the winner of the Provan Summons People's Choice Medal.

Brooks' Dally M Rookie of the Year Award follows after he was voted by his peers at the 2014 RLPA Awards as the Rookie of the Year earlier in the season.
