Wests Tigers have inducted three new Life Members of the Club this evening, with 2005 Premiership Winners Liam Fulton and Ben Galea along with Meriton Group Managing Director Harry Triguboff joining the illustrious group of Life Members.

In total, Wests Tigers have now inducted nine Life Members with the trio joining a number of other Premiership Winners and Coach Tim Sheens in the celebrated list.

Fulton made his first-grade debut as a teenager in 2003, before consolidating his place in the side for the 2005 season. He became an integral part of the team that season — scoring seven tries in 28 games and helped the Club’s to its maiden Premiership victory.

The Greystanes Devils junior would play a total of 77 games for the Club through to the end of the 2008 season, before joining Huddersfield Giants in Super League for a year.

He would return to Wests Tigers in 2010 and made his representative debut the year after, before continuing his fine form to be named the Club’s Player of the Year in 2013.

Fulton would be forced in to an early retirement in 2014 due to concussion, ending his time at Wests Tigers with 162 first-grade games and a Premiership to his name.

A former Australian Schoolboy, Galea made his first-grade debut for Balmain Tigers in 1999 and was part of the inaugural Wests Tigers squad the following year in 2000.

In 2001, Galea was named the Club’s Player of the Year as he began to assert himself as a Wests Tigers regular — culminating in the Club’s Premiership victory in 2005.

When Galea departed Wests Tigers at the end of the 2007 season, the versatile forward was the Club’s second-most capped player and second-highest try-scorer in history.

He is one of just 11 players to play 150 or more games for Wests Tigers.

Meriton Group Managing Director Harry Triguboff first became involved with Wests Tigers in the 1990s and was the major sponsor of the club for a number of years.

Following the inception of the joint-venture, he became the first Wests Tigers major sponsor and has been heavily involved with the Club ever since.

Triguboff has been incredibly supportive of Wests Tigers throughout its entire existence — stepping in to assist on a number of occasions without hesitation.

He remains a strong supporter of Wests Tigers and the direction the Club is heading in, and was once again on hand to witness a great victory last Sunday evening at Leichhardt Oval.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate all three men on receiving their Life Membership!
