Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership side secure maiden win

Wests Tigers Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership have had secured their first victory of the season, winning 26-6 against Brothers PJRLC today at Hickey's Park Rugby League Complex.

Playing in their second game of the season, Wests Tigers' efforts throughout the first half were unable to be matched by the home side with the visitors building on their 20-0 lead at the break to wrap up their maiden win in the competition.

Starting off strong in the first half, Ana Fekeila scoring their first try in the opening six minutes. Jackie-Anne Tahu and Tangikini Hanisi followed closely behind to push past the Brothers defence and extend the lead to 16-0.

Moments before half time, Bottle Vette-Welsh was able to push one more try across the line with Lakeisha Tipene unable to convert from out wide.

Heading into the second half with a 20-0 lead, Wests Tigers were looking to push their lead further and eventually got across the line through Trinity Sullivan.

Tipene's conversion made it 26-0 for Wests Tigers, before a late consolation try to Bianca Beale for Brothers took the final score to 26-6.

Wests Tigers' Harvey Norman Women's Premiership side will face a tougher test next Sunday when they take on the in-form Mounties at Aubrey Keech Reserve.
