Judiciary Report: Round 16

Wests Tigers have avoided any charges from the NRL Match Review Committee in Round 16 — with all players eligible to face Brisbane in their next clash.

Gold Coast forward David Fifita will have to beat a one-game ban at the NRL judiciary to take his place in the Queensland side for Origin III. Fifita will have to successfully challenge a dangerous contact charge on Canberra's Sam Williams to line up for the Maroons, with two similar offences in the past two years ensuring an early guilty plea won't get the boom back-rower off the charge.

Fellow Maroon Valentine Holmes was hit with a fine for a crusher tackle on Kalyn Ponga in Newcastle on Saturday night, meaning he is free to play in game three for Queensland.

Bulldogs utility Jeremy Marshall-King faces a two-game ban for a crusher on Manly's Morgan Harper. The ban would increase to three games if Marshall-King fights the charge and is unsuccessful at the judiciary.

Bulldogs forward Ava Seumanufagai has been hit with a grade one dangerous contact charge for an incident involving Martin Taupau. He will miss one game with an early guilty plea or two matches if he challenges the charge and loses.

Roosters forward Daniel Suluka-Fifita is facing a one-match ban for after being charged with dangerous contact in Thursday night's loss to Melbourne. Suluka-Fifita was sin-binned for the incident in the 61st minute on Cameron Munster in which his shoulder made late contact after the Storm star had passed to a teammate.
