Wests Tigers are excited to have Members and fans back in the stands in 2022 — with a stack of blockbuster games scheduled for the new season. Here are the five games you don’t want to miss!

Wests Tigers vs. Melbourne Storm

Round 1 — Saturday, 12th March, 7:35pm — Commbank Stadium

We’re kicking off the 2022 season with a bang against the Melbourne Storm at Commbank Stadium — and we can’t wait to have our Wests Tigers Members and fans back to cheer us on! Craig Bellamy’s men haven’t lost an opening round clash since 2001, but hey, records are there to be broken and we’re up for the challenge against one of the competition favourites. The Storm will be without representative duo Brandon Smith and Cameron Munster, who are suspended for the start of the season — but Wests Tigers will have to be at their best to kick off the new campaign with two competition points.

Wests Tigers vs. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles

Round 14 — Sunday, 12th June, 2:00pm — Campbelltown Sports Stadium

The infamous rugby league feud of the late 1970s will be re-lived when Manly Warringah travel to Campbelltown Sports Stadium for another edition of ‘Fibros v Silvertails’. It will be the Sea Eagles’ first visit to the south west since 2018 and it’s set to be a blockbuster clash on a Sunday afternoon in June.

Wests Tigers vs. Parramatta Eels

Round 17 — Saturday, 9th July, 7:35pm — Leichhardt Oval

A contender for game of the season, Wests Tigers will host Parramatta at Leichhardt Oval in a Saturday night blockbuster in July. It will be the Eels' first visit to the iconic venue since 2013, with Wests Tigers winning the previous three clashes there. With our last 2021 home match at Leichhardt played behind closed doors, we’re excited to play in front of a packed house at the Eighth Wonder of the World. There aren’t too many better things in rugby league than a roaring hill and full grandstand at Leichhardt Oval. Bring it on!

Wests Tigers vs. Penrith Panthers

Round 18 — Sunday, 17th July, 2:00pm — CommBank Stadium

Who can forget last year’s blockbuster match against the Panthers? Guess what — we’re doing it again in 2022, but this time at CommBank Stadium, giving all Wests Tigers Members and fans the chance to get behind your team against the defending premiers. With no return clash in Penrith next season, this standout match against the Panthers is one not to miss with bragging rights on the line.

Wests Tigers vs. Cronulla Sutherland Sharks

Round 22 — Saturday, 13th August, 5:30pm — Scully Park, Tamworth

It may have been a couple years since we’ve played in Tamworth (due to COVID restrictions), but it’ll be worth the wait when we return in Round 22. Michael Maguire’s men will visit Australia's Country Music Capital in August to take on the Sharks in what could be a vital clash as the NRL regular season nears an end. We’ve played in Tamworth on two occasions since first visiting in 2018 — recording a win against Gold Coast and a narrow loss against Newcastle. We’ll be looking for another victory in the north west this time around!
