Their ‘Grassroots to Greatness’ initiative will run during Wests Tigers inaugural season in the NRLW.

For every try scored by Wests Tigers NRLW team this season, Zurich will donate a junior football pack valued at over $500 to a community club around Australia.

The packs include ten Steeden footballs, twenty training bibs and a ball carrier bag.

Community clubs simply need to register for their chance to WIN one of the football packs by filling out this form, and outlining why their club would be a worthy winner.

Zurich Insurance is hoping the ‘Grassroots to Greatness’ initiative benefits junior league clubs and acts as an incentive for Wests Tigers NRLW team.

“The more tries the team scores, the more packs we will distribute to community clubs across the country,” said Linda Griffin, Head of Brand, Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Zurich Australia & New Zealand.

We are so excited to launch this initiative alongside Wests Tigers to celebrate the NRLW team’s inaugural season.

“It’s an opportunity for Zurich to give back to local rugby league clubs across Australia, who are often the heart and soul of their local community.”

“We are passionate about investing in, and supporting women’s sport, so through this initiative we aim to encourage participation at a junior level and inspire the next generation of players.”

Wests Tigers NRLW player Botille Vette-Welsh says her team is excited to get behind ‘Grassroots to Greatness’.

“I think it’s an awesome idea,” said Vette Welsh.

“I know from experience that junior rugby league clubs often struggle to provide all the gear that is needed to run a club with multiple teams.”

Now our players can feel even better about scoring a try for our team, knowing it will also be helping a junior footy club.
