Wests Tigers are pleased to announce Holli Wheeler has re-signed with the Club, remaining at Concord until the end of the 2027 NRLW season.
Having played in the NRLW’s inaugural competition in 2018, the respected lock is a pioneer of the women’s game.
Wheeler celebrated her 50th NRLW appearance against the Roosters in Round 4 this year and continues to bring grit, leadership and experience to the team’s forward pack.
At the start of the 2026 season, Wheeler was announced as one of the team’s ‘Guardians of Values’ — a role that has seen her help drive standards both on and off the field.
The Australia and NSW representative played in all but one of the Tigers matches this season, averaging 83 run metres, including 32 post-contact metres, and 26 tackles across 11 appearances.
Wheeler’s impact has been reflected in league-wide statistics, with the forward ranking third in the competition for supports (90) and featuring among the top 20 tacklers (286), alongside team-mates Shaylee Bent and Shaniece Monschau.
Playing an important role in the side’s historic 2026 campaign, Wheeler helped the Tigers reach their inaugural NRLW finals series, with her leadership proving invaluable throughout the season.
On the confirmation of her re-signing, Wheeler said she was looking forward to building on what had been achieved in 2026.
“From the second I got here, it just felt right,” said Wheeler.
“Having played under 'Sandy' before, I knew what he was going to bring and how much of an impact he could have. When the opportunity came up, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
“He drives the standards, and everyone in this group has bought into what we’re building here. Everyone is keen to learn and develop, embracing the opportunity we have.
“I feel like we’ve built a really strong foundation here, reaching finals footy and showing what this group is capable of. There’s plenty more we can keep building on next season, and I’m excited to pull on the jersey for another year.”
NRLW Head Coach Craig Sandercock was full of praise for Wheeler’s leadership and influence she continues to have within the squad.
“Holli is a vital part of our team,” Sandercock said.
“She leads by example, she is one of the hardest trainers in our side and brings invaluable experience.
“I’m lucky to have already worked with Holli and it’s great to see her playing at such a high standard.
“Despite being an accomplished player, she always wants to learn and get better.
“We’re really happy to have Holli with us for another year, and I’m excited to see the impact she’ll have next season.”
