Brandon Tumeth named in NSW U/16's squad

Balmain Tigers forward Brandon Tumeth has been named in the New South Wales U/16's squad to face an U/16's Pasifika team at Belmore Sports Ground on Friday, June 9.

The 20-man squad includes seven players from the premiership-winning Newcastle Knights team from the Harold Matthews Cup and four players from Grand Finalists Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. The squad was selected after a Harold Matthews Representative team played a NSW Country U/16's side earlier this month.

The NSW U/16's squad will come in to camp on Wednesday, June 7 ahead of the clash against the Pasifika U/16's team later that week. The Pasifika game is being held in lieu of a match against Queensland, which will not take place this year.

Tumeth's selection comes off the back of a strong 2019 season that saw the back rower finish with three tries to his name as he helped the Tigers deep in to the Harold Matthews finals series. Strong in both attack and defence, Tumeth won the Harold Matthews Coaches' Award in 2018 and carried that form over in to 2019.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Brandon on his selection for NSW!
