It was a fantastic weekend for Wests Tigers in Round 19 with all of the club's major sides recording important victories.

Friday started off on a winning note for Wests Tigers as the NRL side came from behind to defeat the Newcastle Knights in Robbie Farah's 300th — putting them back on the edge of the top eight with six games remaining in the regular season.

After a tight finish in the NRL game, Wests Tigers Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership side went one better with a try in the final minute of the game sending their Elimination Final to extra time. Lakeisha Tipene's try proved to be the difference and match-winner for Wests Tigers, who will now face the minor premiers Mounties RLFC next week for a place in the women's Grand Final.

The wins continued in Newcastle on Saturday as the club's Jersey Flegg boys produced a stunning upset to down the top-four Knights, before Josh Reynolds' return from injury helped the Canterbury Cup boys to a much-needed win.

Both results keep the respective teams in the hunt for finals footy, and set up for a big weekend of action in Round 20 that begins on Thursday night when Wests Tigers take on the North Queensland Cowboys at Leichhardt Oval.

Western Suburbs Canterbury Cup side have the bye, while the Jersey Flegg side face the 13th-placed Sea Eagles in a must-win game at Blacktown.
